I like a plan. I thrive when events are on the calendar. I love it when I know what my day holds. I relax when I know people well. If I were to choose between the known and unknown, I would choose the known every time. The unknown is more uncomfortable. The unknown can even make my life hard. Can you relate?
In ministry to people we must embrace the unknown. We don’t know how people will respond to Jesus. We are not sure exactly how conversations will go when we bring up Jesus. We don’t know how people will respond to any particular sermon. And we certainly don’t know if a person will embrace Jesus. But the unknown should never stop us. There are actually only 2 responses to Jesus. To believe. Or to reject.
The Apostle Paul ministers to people with confidence knowing that people will choose to believe Jesus or choose to reject Jesus (In turn, rejecting him). Even after major rejection at the end of Acts 13, “the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.” (v. 52) We can learn from this. The unknown can become more tolerable when we have examples like the Apostle Paul.
I look forward to this Sunday to being encouraged by God’s Word! The people in Pisidia Antioch were blessed by God’s Word. Let’s come with their example in mind and receive God’s blessing this Sunday!

“And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. And the word of the Lord was spreading throughout the whole region.” - Acts 13:48-49

We are providing live Sunday School!
Here is the plan: Children will be with their parents for the singing portion of the service. Children will be dismissed after singing to meet with Cameron and Courtney outside near the playground outside of the auditorium. Cameron will plan a short lesson, have a group activity, and supervise some free play. At the end of the service, Cameron will walk the children back to where we meet. This is 100% voluntary for parents. Your children are also welcome to be with you during the service. We believe this can be done in a safe and organized way. All activities will be outside. Every child will be encouraged to keep their masks on. We will do the best we can to encourage distance.
