We are bombarded with information. Think about the opportunities you have during any week to read articles, look at social media posts, watch TV programing, and talk with people about anything and everything. If we added up all the time each week that we give to receiving information it makes for a firehose from a hydrant stream. It is hard to take it all in. And if we compare the hour we gather as a church to the amount of time given to other sources it is severely weighted toward non-church service information.

There are three ways we can tilt the scales back toward healthy, God-directed information consumption. First, pay attention to what information you consume. Make a substantial portion be geared toward your spiritual growth. Second, make the hour we gather non-negotiable in your schedule. Give God and your church family your full attention. Finally, participate in spiritual enriching activities during the week. The Rock offers a number of small groups in which to gather. Make it a priority to be with other Christians to seek Jesus!

Please take note of ways to gather for Sunday Service at The Rock:

1) We are meeting outside at Manhattan Beach Pre-School for our Sunday Service at 4:30 pm. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, masks and Bibles! For a complete copy of our guidelines for re-opening CLICK HERE.

2) *** NEW *** We will also be live on Facebook Live (NOT ZOOM). If you don’t feel comfortable joining us in person, are feeling sick, or have been exposed to someone who is sick stay connected through this live-stream - CLICK HERE at 4:30 Sunday afternoon.

3) Finally we will provide a video link to the sermon. I will send out an email Monday morning with the sermon link attached.

Theological Word of the Week:

Covenant of Grace

The legal agreement between God and man, established by God after the fall of Adam, whereby man could be saved. Although the specific provisions of this covenant varied at different times during redemptive history, the essential condition of requiring faith in Christ the redeemer remained the same.
