Easter week is upon us! The most holy week for the Christian is celebrated in many different forms. For us at the Rock this year we are focusing on Palm Sunday (last Sunday - Sermon Video Here), Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. All are invited to our coming Good Friday and Easter Sunday Services! Here is how we will worship:
Good Friday - We are gathering at Miramar Park at 7:00 pm for a somber, reflective service recognizing the death of Jesus. We will read scripture and take communion with no music to feel the weight of the death of our Lord Jesus. Jesus died for us. Jesus died in order for us to receive forgiveness. Jesus died in order for there to be perfect justice. It is only right for us to remember, reflect, and even rejoice in the death of Jesus. At sunset we will take communion and leave with the taste of death in our mouths.
Easter Sunday - Then we will gather with joy in our hearts for Easter Sunday at 10:00 am at Manhattan Beach Pre-School. Easter Sunday is a celebration. So let’s celebrate! Jesus is risen! We will worship in song, prayers of praise, and a sermon proclaiming that resurrection is for all believers in Jesus. Come early for donuts, coffee, and fellowship beginning at 9:30 am. Stay after for an egg hunt for the kids! Let’s party!
Please take note of ways to gather for Sunday Service at The Rock:
