Holy Week for the Christian is the most important week of the church year. This week begins with Palm Sunday and concludes with Easter Sunday. Without Easter (meaning without the resurrection of Jesus) Christianity is futile according to the Apostle Paul. If Jesus is not risen from the dead, the entire faith is dead. But because Jesus is risen from the dead, we must celebrate. We must worship. We must give our very lives to Jesus!
So the next two Sundays at The Rock are celebrations! First, this Sunday, March 28, we celebrate Palm Sunday. We will rejoice in music that says, “Hosanna!” Meaning “Save Now!” Just as the people in the 1st century spread leafy branches on the road to welcome their King. We will do the same saying “welcome Jesus our King!” Our children will lead the way by spreading the branches before us. We are then called to worship with all of our hearts. I will preach about the hope of Palm Sunday. Our hope in Jesus is full of confidence, assurance, and truth. Let us join together in joy looking forward to Easter! ***Special Note: We will have a brief budget meeting after service to approve our 2021-2022 Annual Budget***
Then on April 4 we will celebrate Easter Sunday together. HE IS RISEN!!! We will gather in joy at 10:00 am on Easter Sunday. We will worship with all of hearts that the resurrection has happened! We will celebrate with worship as well as coffee, donuts, and a fun egg hunt for the elementary age children! I look forward to celebrating with you the next 2 Sundays!
Please take note of ways to gather for Sunday Service at The Rock:

“And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!’” - Mark 11:9-10

Children's Ministry
We are providing live Sunday School!
Here is the plan: Children will be with their parents for the singing portion of the service. Children will be dismissed after singing to meet with Cameron and Courtney outside near the playground outside of the auditorium. Cameron will plan a short lesson, have a group activity, and supervise some free play. At the end of the service, Cameron will walk the children back to where we meet. This is 100% voluntary for parents. Your children are also welcome to be with you during the service. We believe this can be done in a safe and organized way. All activities will be outside. Every child will be encouraged to keep their masks on. We will do the best we can to encourage distance.
