PLEASE NOTE: SUNDAY SERVICE TIME IS 3:30
“Our failures do not define us…” True or False? Most would immediately say true! And I believe that to be the correct answer. But our answer depends a lot on how we move forward from failure. If we answer true, but never deal with our failure in a way that we truly get over it, then our answer is in word only. With all my heart I believe we can move on from our failures and truly get over them. The solution has everything to do with trusting God’s work in us and God’s opinion of us.
Not forgetting failure. Not denying failure. Not covering up failure with success. But being redeemed from our past failures. True redemption is not achieved or worked off. True redemption comes from outside of ourselves. True redemption comes from God and is achieved in Jesus. Our failures and sin are forgiven and we are declared righteous. We are given new life, new perspective, and new opportunities. Our best remedy for failure is to go to Jesus and trust Him to heal and change us.
This week in Acts we will see John Mark fail. He quits. He quits right in front of people he is wanting to impress and please. The story does not end with his failure. God works all things for the good. He is redeemed by God and has opportunities to serve God in the future. Ultimately God uses John Mark powerfully. Let’s join together in worship of the God who redeems this Sunday!

Theological Word of The Week:
Redemption
Christ’s saving work viewed as an act of “buying back” sinners out of their bondage to sin and to Satan through the payment of a ransom (though the analogy should not be pressed to specify anyone to whom a ransom was paid).

Children's Ministry
We are providing live Sunday School!
Here is the plan: Children will be with their parents for the singing portion of the service. Children will be dismissed after singing to meet with Cameron and Courtney outside near the playground outside of the auditorium. Cameron will plan a short lesson, have a group activity, and supervise some free play. At the end of the service, Cameron will walk the children back to where we meet. This is 100% voluntary for parents. Your children are also welcome to be with you during the service. We believe this can be done in a safe and organized way. All activities will be outside. Every child will be encouraged to keep their masks on. We will do the best we can to encourage distance.
