After much discussion and prayer by The Board, Paul Duncan, and myself we have come to the conclusion that we can meet this Sunday, June 14 safely and within the compliance of state guidelines. We made it a priority to be respectful to state guidelines, to love our neighbor well by focusing on safety, and being a witness to our community by taking seriously the importance of gathering correctly. For a complete copy of our guidelines for re-opening CLICK HERE. Below are some basics:
We are meeting at our regular Sunday, 4:30 pm time on the back lawn of the pre-school. Bring your own chairs and/blanket. There is no childcare, but children are certainly welcome. Wear face coverings when you arrive and depart - during the service face coverings are optional. My prayer is that our service will be God-honoring in an outdoor festival type vibe. Come and experience worshipping together after months apart!
Leading up to meeting together continue to pray for God’s work in our world right now. We need God’s work of mercy as we continue to battle COVID-19 - both physically and relationally. And we need God’s justice as we sort through difficult times of racial injustice and tension. We must not ignore the pain of both of these pandemics - both COVID-19 and racism. May God work for His glory and our good today!
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” - Galatians 6:9
